Obituary of Dorothy Jean Piphus

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Piphus, Age 68 of Nashville transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Carolyn Piphus and Carol Piphus (Nashville, TN); two brothers, Charles (Rosa) Piphus (Halls, TN), James (Kristal) Reed (College Grove, TN); one aunt, Gutheria Sanders (Washington, D.C.) and one uncle, Eldred (Gladys) Reed (Chicago, IL); several special friends, Tammie Browning, Barbara Chatmon, Doris Gore, Ivy Jeffries, Earline Kinsey, Teenie Laws, Nichelle Martin, Pat Rees, Eman Roufael, Laura Taylor and Paula Sullivan; many nieces, nephews,  cousins, additional friends and her loveable companion, her dog, “Baby Girl.” Family will receive friends Friday, September 20th from 3-6:00 pm; Top Ladies of Distinction, 5:15pm at Lewis & Wright Funeral Home, 2500 Clarksville Hwy. Family Visitation Saturday, September 21st from 11am-11:30am; Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony-11:30-11:45am; service at 12:00 noon at The Temple Church, 3810 Kings Lane with Pastor Darrell A. Drumwright, Eulogist. Interment Old Chapel Cemetery, Halls, TN.
