To Mrs. Marion and family, I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Rooster was always that "cool dad". As much as I loved my own dad, Rooster was that one that I could talk to about stuff I couldn't tell Joe Lee. He will be sorely missed. I will continue to be in prayer for all of you as you begin to experience a year of firsts without your patriarch. Much love to you all. Bill, preach with power today Team.

The Christian Servant
Mr. Boyce E. Wilkins, Sr. has been honorably discharged from his earthly service and called to eternal glory. He was steadfast in his faith, unmovable in divine strength, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. Mr. Wilkins ran his race, reached his goals, and will receive the crown. He has fought his battles, vanquished his foes, and now exhales in victory. Lastly, he crossed life’s ocean, weathered its storms and fogs, and now entered the haven of everlasting rest.
We know that Mr. Wilkins served in the Ministry of good people, obeyed the call of faith, and enjoyed the friendship of God. Now, he is God’s possession, ready for Heaven, and marked with God’s eternal seal until the day of redemption. He desired an infinitely better and more holy country called Heaven which is full of divine glory, Heavenly nature, Heavenly dispositions, Heavenly conversations, a Heavenly citizenship, and eternal enjoyment. Mr. Wilkins wanted the theme of Heaven, the melody of Heaven, the feelings of triumph, God’s presence, God’s peace, and God’s promise. For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Dear to Mr. Wilkins were many projects, plans born of his love to Christ, and accomplishments in Christian fellowship with others which he unreservedly threw his strength of body, high intellect, and pure heart. For his sake, as well as our own and for Christ’s, we rejoice to know that his seed of good works will spring up in rich harvests and that the sacred usefulness of his teachings will swell into growing harmonies and widen in influence.
Most people knew Mr. Wilkins was a Godly man and an extraordinary leader who taught many life-changing lessons. The most important lesson for us to learn is that we should always be ready because our tabernacle must be dissolved. We should be ready for that event and preparation is possible because provisions have been made for our instruction, cleansing, and spiritual development. If preparation is not made, the results will be disheartening. If our souls are prepared, a treasure is waiting and the results will be magnificent.
Mr. Wilkin’s family and friends witnessed him letting his light shine before men, showing his good works, toiling in the vineyard of Christ, and glorifying our father. It was clear that he had fullness of life, harmony of life, complete satisfaction of life, and atonement with God through our Lord Jesus Christ because he was justified by faith. Mr. Wilkins has victory over death through Jesus because he was sustained by His grace and preserved by His power. His personal relationship with Christ led to a fuller development of his blessedness.
Mr. Boyce E. Wilkins, Sr. is a name written in Heaven. The Master will call Mr. Wilkins at the set time, then he shall rise reinvigorated, refreshed, and ready for new service. Let the mourners be comforted that he served the Lord and is only sleeping. One day he will awake to newness of life and will never sleep again. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living (Matthew 22:32).
Sympathy for the grieving family is deep and heartfelt. Assurance of Mr. Wilkin’s welfare and gain cannot be questioned. His life of faith and service terminated joyously, and his passing, like the sun breaking through a storm cloud at the close of day — gave promise for a beautiful tomorrow, beyond gray clouds and suffering.
In this final, solemn step that puts an end to human distinctions and duties, we bid farewell. Mr. Boyce E. Wilkins, Sr. is united to Christ and will soon be in union with God where he belongs. God bless his family and friends.

We thank God today for such people as Boyce E. Wilkins, Sr. They live among us for a while, they bless our hearts, they make life sweeter and better, then they go out to be with God and to await our coming. Fortunately, we can judge people by what they love. Boyce, Sr. loved the Lord, his church, prayer, his friends, and his family.
To him God was not some distant person way off yonder in the blue. He was near Boyce, Sr. He was dear to him and He was his daily companion. Boyce, Sr. walked and talked to the Lord. He spoke often of God blessing him in many ways.
Boyce, Sr. believed in all the prayer promises of the Bible. He spent time in intercessory prayer for many people. Boyce, Sr. was a Christian soldier who believed prayer changed things and people. We would do well to take him as an example in the matter of prayer.
He loved and prayed for his family and close friends. Many can testify to the strength they gained through his love and remember the kind things he did for them because of that love. His wife and his children were the light of his life and the strength of his success. Boyce, Sr. loved all that was the finest and the best. And that love does not end on this earth. It is simply magnified and made perfect in heaven. God will give Boyce, Sr. the best things of heaven because of his faithful service.
His family, friends, and coworkers will never forget him. His memory will always grow fresh and green. Remembering Boyce, Sr. and his Christian life will help us want to be better Christians and better people.
So let this be your comfort, that Boyce, Sr. has just gone on to be with God, where sickness and sorrow can never touch him, and where someday you will see him again and be at home with him and our wonderful Savior. May his memory linger on in our hearts to bless us and bring us closer to God.

Like his Master, Rooster lived a life of helpfulness and went about doing good. He touched many lives with his good deeds and blessed many hearts because of his kind words. Rooster lifted many people closer to God through his own Christian life.
Although Rooster went out of his way and beyond the call of duty to help others, he never boasted about it. He always kept in the background, allowed others to take credit, and he believed that God should have all the glory. He could say with John the Baptist, “I must decrease, but Christ must increase.”
Jesus said, “Be though faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rooster was faithful and now he has gone on to receive that crown. The Lord and his church could always count on him. He always tried to be at every church service. It can be truly said of Rooster that he sought first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
Rooster’s life leaves previous memories that will bless and enrich his family and close friends forever. They will remember the worthwhile things he said and the unselfish things he did. Their lives will be richer and they will be drawn closer to God because of these memories.
We can never understand why God takes away someone so noble and useful as Rooster, but we know His way is the best way. The passing of His saints is precious in God’s sight. This is just God’s way of translating Rooster from a world of sorrow to a heaven of bliss. We do know that Rooster fought a good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith: henceforth there will be a crown of righteousness laid up for him, which the Lord shall give him on that special day.
Let us be thankful for Rooster’s life that was well-lived. It was a life devoted to goodness, faith in Christ, unselfish service, and to his family. And let us be thankful for a God of grace, who is with us in life and in death and throughout eternity.
Rooster has found blessed relief and God has taken him to Himself. While it is a time of sorrow for those who loved him, it is a wonderful day for Rooster. So let us rejoice with him, for he is a thousand times better off than any of us who must stay a little longer in this old world. Rooster has gone to meet Jesus and to receive all the wonderful things He has in store for him. The Lord himself has welcomed Rooster home. Let our bereaved hearts turn to God for comfort.
May God bless the memory of Rooster. And May He bless and comfort family and friends who mourn him today. Rooster was a good Christian servant. The Bible teaches that life does not end at the grave. The eternal spirit and image of God within us cannot be destroyed by the death of the body. Rooster has gone to be with God and he will come to know supreme happiness that only God can give. Blessed are those who pass in the Lord, for they rest from their labors and their works do follow them.
May all his family members and friends place their hands in the nail-pierced hand of Jesus and follow Him.
