Our beloved grandfather, Willard Davenport, left his earthly life at the blessed age of 105 on April 30, 2021. He was born May 24, 1915 in Valley, Mississippi to Hattie Britton and Monroe Davenport. Willard served the Church from a young age, even meeting his wife of 70 years during a church conference. His life led his to live in Mississippi, Chicago, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia; to travel to New Guinea while serving in the Navy, and across the country while working as a Pullman Porter. Willard had a life-long thirst for knowledge and spent time reading daily. Throughout his lifetime he was educated at Utica Normal and Industrial Institute, Oral Roberts University, and the National Radio Institute. He worked as a farmer, porter, metal worker, auto body technician, and radio/television technician. Though a hard worker, he enjoyed time spend with family, baseball, and all things sweet. Willard had a heart for Christ, a generous, patient, and loving spirt, and was loved by everyone that met him. He was proceeded in death by his wife Lois, and children Earl and Joyce. He leaves to mourn his daughter-in-law Edna, grandchildren Tiffany, Kendall (Brandon), and Devin (Shadale, Nadiya, Emrie), nieces, nephews, and community of friends.
