Obituary
Obituary of Charles Edward Cooper
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles Edward Cooper was born to Gilbert Sawyers and Annie L. Cooper on May 26, 1943. He received his foundation in education at Cameron E. School, Johnson School, and then he later attended Cameron High School. Having a love for sports, he played football while enrolled in high school. He forewent his senior year of high school to enroll in the United States Army, but after serving honorably in the United States Army for a number of years, he then enrolled in night courses at Watkins School and completed his last year of his high school education.
He leaves a lasting legacy to his family: his wife of fifty-two years, Norma J. Cooper; his brother, Freddie [Doris] Sawyers; his son, William M. Cooper; his daughter, Valarie Brown-McCants; his son, Michael [June] Brown, and his daughter, Yolonda [Dennis] Howard. He also leaves his memory to a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
