Obituary of Calvin White

Mr. Calvin White started his journey to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Calvin was born June 25, 1956 to the late Mr. Sidney White, Jr. and Mrs. Margaret E. White in Nashville, Tennessee. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney, Jr. and Margaret E. White and his brother Walter Birdsong. Calvin leaves to cherish his memories, his loving, caring and devoted wife of 27 Years, Alberta White; children, LaQuanya Gross, Dominique (Chris) Hockett, Franchetta (John) Sherrill and Leroy (Whitney) Gordon; grandchildren, Austin, Keshawn, Kanaan, Donovan, Anthony, DeAnthony, Breana, Mia, Chris, Deyton and Layla; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Alvin (Donza) White and John Tyrone (Dorothy) White; sister, Vanessa E. White; sister-in-law, Nancy Sanders; brother-in-laws, Terry ( Nancy)Baugh, Ernest (Cheryl) Washington, Jessie (Sheila) Washington, Roy (Nina) Washington and Douglas Washington; aunt, Mildred (Lonnie) Tyler; uncle, Billy White; nieces, Tiffany White, LaToya (Tony) Ricketts, Denise (Demond) Myers, Pamela Jean Flakes, Niketa Washington and Nivaughna Askin; nephews William (LaQuiesha) Wright and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives; friends, Tim, Archie, Harold Moe, John Paul, Clarence, Sharon White; cousin, Melvin Holt; and Dr. William Stoney and family. Public Walk Through of Family and Friends will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lewis and Wright Funeral Directors. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Love United Missionary Baptist Church.
