Obituary of Charles E. Warner

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles was born to the late Richard Warner and Mary D. Warner in Nashville, TN. He was raised in South Nashville. He was the fourth child born of six siblings. He was affectionately known to his family as “Charles Edward”. Charles was educated in the public school system of Davidson County. Charles graduated from Pearl High School as well as received a post-secondary degree at Phoenix University. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Marines; thereafter, he started a career in the insurance industry, which led to him opening his own financial services business, C.E. Warner & Associates. Charles loved being surrounded by his family, dancing, watching movies, playing cards, cooking and giving advice (whether you asked for it or not) just to name a few. Charles was a devoted husband and father and was always dedicated to his family and friends. If he had it, you had it! In fact, he would say “If I had it, you would get it, I’d like to see you with it, I ain’t got it, no doubt about it, you’ll have to do without it”! Anyone who knew him knew they were always welcome to his home, but especially on Sundays for our Sunday dinners. Although he only had 3 biological children, he treated everyone as if they were his own. Charles is predeceased by his parents, Richard Warner and Mary D. Warner, brothers, Richard Warner and Johnny Warner and sister Lillian Smart. He leaves to cherish devoted wife of 57 years, Anita (Chambers) Warner, daughters, Karla (Darren) Frieson of Antioch TN, Tracy (James) Warner-Wilson, of Antioch, TN and son, Kyle Warner, of Antioch, TN; 4 granddaughters, Kaylen (Nick) Trice, Darian Frieson, Kamryn Frieson and Jamisen Wilson, and 1 great-grandson, Toren Trice; 2 brothers, Clifford Warner and wife, Gerri Warner, Bobby Warner and sister Grace Giddens; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Acknowledgements The family would like to thank the staff at Vanderbilt University Hospital for the care provided during his illness. The family is also thankful for the phone calls, prayers, visits and outpouring of love during this difficult time. The memorial service will be live streamed on Facebook @Lewis-WrightFD.
