Deacon Robert Lee Turney was born August 13, 1953 in Nashville, TN to the late Georgia and Alfred Turney Sr. Robert departed this life on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Robert received his education from the Metro Public School System where he graduated from Cumberland High School in Nashville, TN. Robert served in The United Stated Marine Corps for 2 years and received an honorable discharge. He also served in The United States Army National Guard for 16 years.
Robert accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age.
He is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Farley. He leaves behind his devoted wife Toya Ann Turney; daughters, Shanrika Turney, Michelle Turney, Schlynda (Marquez) Robinson; brothers Alfred (Carol) Turney Jr, Michael (Gwatholyn) Turney; sister Betty (Tony) Turney-Turner; grandchildren Jamar Robinson, Marshay McKamey, Jaydon Robinson; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
