Obituary of Nancy Osborne Cannon

Nancy Osborne Cannon was born March 10, 1944 to the late Taylor and Catherine Osborne in Davidson County, Tennessee.  She received her education in Davidson County public schools.  She attended Trevecca Nazarene College and was a Metro Schools Retired Special Education & Reading teacher.  She was preceded in death by her children, Wendell Bartee Osborne and Angela Osborne, her siblings, Sarah Beasley Yarbrough, Minnie Bell, Richard Osborne, Robert Osborne, Jimmy Osborne, and Willie Lee Osborne.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Bass Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. William King.  She later joined Ephesian Primitive Baptist Church under the late Elder Lucius Fitzgerald.  Rev. Cornelius Hill is now the residing pastor who was a blessing and he faithfully watched over her.  She was a solider for the church, teaching Sunday School, heading several women’s groups, and working on several women’s axillaries.

To cherish her memories, she is survived by her children, Sylvia (John) Spencer, Victor Osborne, Warren Osborne, Sonja (Willie) Marable, and Aundré Osborne; siblings, Dorothy Dobbins, Bobby (Tracey) Osborne; special friend, Leon Bartee (Cleveland, OH);  a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
