Obituary of Darwin L. Moore, Jr.

Darwin Lamont Moore, Jr. was born February 12, 1998, in Santa Ana, California. He was taken home to Irvine, and Compton, California. He moved to Tennessee along with his mother at the age of 3. At the age of 5, Darwin gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee by Reverend Marcel Kellar in 2003. Darwin sang in the choir, and he played the jimbe drum and the drum set in the music ministry at Antioch. Darwin began his early childhood education in Pre-K at La Petite Academy in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. He began elementary school at Taylor Stratton in Madison, Tennessee. He attended East Literature Magnet school in East Nashville. He transferred to Hunters Lane High School in Nashville where he received his diploma in 2016. Darwin attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) pursued photography and launched his successful clothing brand “The Ville”. Darwin will be greatly missed by his mother Katina McCormick, father Darwin Moore, Sr., sisters: DaJanay Davis, Jamyia Moore and Desiray McMullen; brothers: DJ Moore and Dorian Moore; grandmothers: Polly Burden, and Pamela Moore Wade; grandfather: Lonnie McCormick; great-grandmother Annie Burden; aunts: Kamira Bullard and Kandra Moore and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Willie Burden, and Larry Moore.
