Obituary of Sedric Holt

Sedric Lamont Holt Sr. was born August 25,1988 to the late Katherine Michelle Holt and Barry Woods, in Nashville, Tennessee and entered into eternal rest on August 14,2022 at Bethany Rehab Facility.

Sedric was affectionately known as “Mont” to family and friends, and was educated in Metro Public Schools. Mont was very close with our late mother Katherine(Kathy), he was very big on family and loved everybody, especially his children. Mont was very close to his nieces and nephews. His favorite food was our mother’s fried chicken and her famous Mac and cheese and his favorite team was the Titans. Despite all his struggles and pain he never let it keep him down, he always kept a smile.

Sedric (Mont) was preceded in death by his loving and devoted mother Katherine (Kathy) Michelle Holt, devoted Son: Dedric Tremont Holt, Maternal and Paternal Great-Grandparents, Grandparents Mahlon and Erma Louise Holt, Aunts: Elizabeth (Bit)Holt, Marcia Holt, Devoted Uncle: Jerome (Peanut) Owens Devoted Great-Uncles James Arthur(Blockhead) Nelson, Willie Eward Nelson, Devoted Cousins: Demetria(Michelle) Lewis, Kelonda Holt and Very Devoted Cousin: Eric(Savage) Holt.

Those that are left to cherish his memory: loving children: Sedric Lamont Holt Jr. and Katherine Monye Taylor. Siblings: Davida, Phillip, Tahara and Mahlon Holt, Kenyadah(Jermichael)Sullivan, Yahara(Joshua)McBee. Very devoted Aunts and Uncles: Chris Eugene Holt, Charles(Lorraine)Holt, Etta(David) Tucker, Peggy Owens, Stephanie Holt, Regina(Ronald) Lewis, and Mary Holt, Great-Aunts: Ruby Marie(Alice), Anna Nelson, and Elizabeth(Sweet) Nelson, Devoted nieces and nephews: Brandi, Kattia(Tia), Da’Vion(Biscuit) Holt, Ka’Miya, Ka’Jai, Kaniyah, K’aliyah, Ki’Ajah, Ja’ier, Je’Riah and Ke’Ese Sullivan, and a host of devoted cousins.
