Obituary of Robert L Ferguson, Jr.

Robert Lewis Ferguson Jr was born January 21, 1956 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Robert Lewis and Minnie Lou (Thompson) Ferguson. He was the oldest of five siblings. Robert Jr. entered eternal peace on September 17, 2022 at Saint Thomas Hospital West.

Robert Jr. received his education in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools in which he graduated from Glencliff High School in 1974. He was introduced to Christ at an early age at Little Zion Primitive Baptist Church on Morena Street in Nashville, TN under the leadership of Rev. Elder Henry Dozier.

He was together with his sweetheart, Helen for 38 years.

He was employed at Nissan Smyrna Assembly Plant up until his retirement in 2007. His favorite past time was carpentry, all things about cars, cooking and listening to music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lewis and Minnie Lou Ferguson, his uncle William Thompson and brother Gregory Scott Ferguson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Helen Ferguson, sons Derrell (Sharice) Ferguson and Robert (Bianca) Ferguson, one daughter, Tracy Ferguson; granddaughters, Kintara Ghant, Ondrellasia Ferguson, Adaisha Ferguson, Ja’Zharia Ferguson, Brielle Ferguson and Iris Ferguson; two grandsons Isaiah Yokley and Derrell Ferguson Jr.; 3 great grandchildren; Two brothers, Jimmy (Yvette) and Christopher (Betty) Ferguson; one sister, Maggie Alderson. Aunts Susie Miller and Janice Nevette. Nieces, Stephanie Frame and Katasha (Deshaun) Bowling; nephews, Christopher Ferguson, Cameron Ferguson, James Ferguson, Marcus Davis, and Ralph Donaway; host of great nephews and nieces, devoted cousins, sister in laws and friends.
