Obituary of Cortez L. Ezell

Cortez L. Ezell (TezzWezz) departed this life unexpectedly on October 14, 2022 in his home. He was born August 12, 1999 in Nashville, TN to Corey Higgins and Quinette Ezell. 

Cortez graduated from The Academy of Hickory Hollow Class of 2017. 

Growing up Cortez enjoyed playing football. He played for Waverly Belmont and later played for JT Moore Middle and Hillsboro High School where he wrestled and ran track.

Cortez was a very loving and caring person that you could always depend on; if he said he had you then you could expect just that. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes, playing his game system and spending time with his daughter, family and friends. When Cortez was around no matter what the mood was you could always expect to hear a good joke and you were DEFINITELY GONNA RECEIVE A GOOD LAUGH.

Cortez will definitely be loved and missed by everyone who crossed his path. In addition to his parents, he leaves to mourn his passing, grandmothers Sheila and Shirley; one daughter Ja’Coriea; brothers Du’Juan, Corey, and Coreymonte; sisters Anjanette, Cori, Sheniquia, Correka, Scoria, Coreyanna, Cortayja, and Coryel;  a devoted friend of 4 years Jamerica; Raymond and Shannon and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
