I had the pleasure of taking care of her . She truly was a free spirit. With all that she was going thru she still smiled and would say " everything will be okay ". She told me lots of stories of her past and i felt like I had been knowing her for years. She will be missed. Fly high angel !

Miss Joe Ann will truly be missed. I had the pleasure of taking care of her during her stay at a local hospital. Not only was she full of personality she was also serene and very keen. She has left an impression on me. Thank you Miss Joe Ann you will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to Ernest, Christine, and the entire Taylor and Cunningham families. Joe Ann was a dear and best friend of mine since third grade at Princeton Elementary School in Birmingham. We kept in touch through out the years. She was a bridesmaid in our wedding and the Godmother to our son. We will surely miss her but will always remember the good times we spent together. Rest in the loving arms of Jesus my friend!!

Q: How did you meet Joe Ann?
A: Joe Ann and I met as students at Tennessee State University as we pursued our undergraduated degrees in the late 60s. We were roommates and soon became good friends. I am glad we had a talk before her death. She sounded the same as she talked about her funeral plans with the same upbeat nature I remember. I could sense her smiling. I pray for the family to remember the good and celebrate her life.
