Obituary of Audrey J. McDaniel

Audrey J. McDaniel was born, February 10, 1938; the seventh child of the late Annie D. Summers and in Davidson County, Nashville, Tennessee.  She entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2023.

Audrey Juanita was joined in holy matrimony to Albert McDaniel. She was preceded in death by daughters, Cynthia, Denise, and Debra Ann.

She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthews African Methodist Episcopal Church singing in the Emanuel Choir as a soloist and member and UPN Director.  She will be surely missed by the church family. 

Audrey was employed at Matthew Walker Health Center, where she was a social worker and a Social Worker at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a switchboard operator.

Audrey Juanita McDaniel leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Shirley Ann (Curtis) Young; sons, Joseph Edward (Carolyn) Thompson, Jr., and Straun Antonio McDaniel; three brothers, James Lee (Ann) Summers, Leo Ronald (Catherine) Summers, Sr., and William Thomas (Rebecca) Summers.  A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, devoted friends, Martha and David Covington and Ms. Dorothy.
