Obituary of Deshawn Talley

Deshawn Lamar Talley, 21, born to Carletta (Shay) Simmons and Christopher Talley.  He was the most precious gift and his mother’s only child; his beautiful smile would instantly brighten up her day. Unexpectedly his life was tragically cut short and he was called to take his rest on May 12, 2023.

Deshawn attended and graduated from Hillsboro High School in May of 2020. He was a very bright and smart young man who was loving, funny, generous, loyal, dedicated, quietly strong, and hardworking. Deshawn loved spending time with his loved ones, spending  time with his friends, and spending time with his PlayStation.

Deshawn leaves behind both of his loving parents- Shay and Chris, grandfather Carnell Simmons. Maternal uncles Anthony Stewart and Christopher Short. Paternal aunts and uncles, LaKesha Talley (special thanks to Lakesha) Paul Talley, Fredrick Talley, Henry Talley, Jennifer Talley, Darryl Talley, and Marcus Talley. He is also survived by his paternal siblings, many great aunts and great uncles, an abundance of cousins, and numerous friends.

Deshawn touched the lives of so many. He loved his family and friends deeply, and special acknowledgement to the following that he held especially close to his heart: Marcus, Chantell, LaChandra (Peaches), Deyonte, Jasmine, Jeremiah, and Trinity. Lifetime friends: Chad, Ralph, Adora, and his girlfriend Kathy.

Deshawn left this earth too early for us to understand, but God always has a purpose and a plan. He will continue to live in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
