Obituary of Linda G. Whitsey

Linda G. Whitsey was born on April 26^th, 1960, in Nashville, TN to Charlie Bussey Sr and Peggy Brownlow.

She received her education at North High School in Nashville, TN.

Linda was a devoted employee of Tennessee State University for over 30 years. She also was a member of Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Linda was full of life, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.

On Friday July 28^th, 2023, Linda departed her earthly home and transitioned into her heavenly home. Linda was preceded in death by her husband John W. Whitsey, her son Eric O. Bussey, grandson Deundre Bridges Jr, sister Peggy Hendrix and brother Jeffrey Brownlow. Linda leaves to cherish her memories, her three children, Tamasia Lavender, Antonio Lavender and Samantha Whitsey. Eight grandchildren, Dyvonta Duncan, Keishal Duncan, Tymerria Duncan, Re’Nasia Moore, Erica Duncan, Armani Bridges, Karter Cammon, and Bella Goodloe. Two great-grandchildren, Kason Duncan, and Aston Jones. Three sisters, Helena (Jesse) Bussey-Harris, Victoria Bussey, and Kathey Bussey. Four brothers, Charles (Regina) Bussey, Keith Bussey, Darryl Bussey, and Dewayne Bussey. Best friend Deborah Carey, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
