Dorothy Ann Akins Nelson, affectionately called "Dot" and "Mama Dot", transitioned from this life to Eternal Rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the age of 88.
Dorothy leaves a lasting legacy to her family: daughters Clarabel Akins, Dorothy Annette Nelson, Melinda Nelson and Kathyrn Bass; son-in-law Dewayne Parker; sister Carolyn Peebles; brother-in-law Deacon Byrd Haynes; 30 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends.
