Obituary of Gwendolyn C. Pillow

Mrs. Gwendolyn Cassandra Pillow (Gwen) entered into rest January 7, 2024.  Born on May 30, 1942. Preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Susie Parks,son Charles Pillow,  brother June Parks,  sister Dorothy Mitchell and her sister-in-law JoAnn Pillow. 

Ms. Gwen dedicated her life to Christ and was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Serving on the Mother Board.

Survived by children; Cheryl Gant, Kevin Pillow and Curtis Pillow(Marchella); Grandchildren: Darrell Gant, Kevin Pillow, Jr.,  Denzel, Aisha, Isaiah, Andre and Aisha Pillow, Sean Simpson and Erica Sims; numerous Great-Grandkids, nieces, nephews and in-laws. 

Gwen leaves cherished memories with her best friends; Ruth “Winnie”, Elizabeth “Pat”, Louise, Shirley and Victoria “Vickie”, along with extended family and friends.

Mrs. Pillow, Gwen, would light up a room with her jokes and laughter. She was free spirited and enjoyed thrifting and traveling with friends. She will be missed by many.
