Obituary of Paulette Vaughn

On October 6, 1945, Paulette Vaughn started her life's journey. On January 13, 2024, at 10:10 a.m., Paulette received her wings and went to her heavenly home to be at rest.

Paulette grew up in the Lake Providence Community and attended Providence Elementary School and Haynes High School.  In 1973, she met and married Charles Calvin Vaughn.

 Paulette enjoyed bowling and was in a bowling league. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir and especially loved family gatherings. Paulette was an excellent cook and baker.

She treated everyone with love, respect, and kindness. She later encountered several health issues, and as a result, became a resident of Good Samaritan health and rehab center. During her time there, she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the facility. 

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents Chester Goins and Enola Simpkins and her husband Charles Vaughn.

Paulette was blessed with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her passing, Children: Donna Goins, Dara Mays, and Darlene Goins. brothers: Flem (Mary) and Loyal (Brenda) Goins, sister Lula Osborne; Grandchildren: Terrick (Karina) Mays, Faith (Nettie) Richards, Josiah Goins, Paula-Raiyne (Dominic) Easley, and Helen Goins; and seven great-grandchildren (Kimani, Khylan, Kimaree, Cayden, Kaiba, Valentina, Phoenix).

She had a host of her daughter's neighborhood friends who she loved and treated as her own,  and countless other family members who love her and will miss her dearly.

 Please keep the Vaughn and Goins families in your thoughts and prayers.
